Saying #162
Be careful who you meet for spiritual direction. Not all seers are of the LORD. Remember, the wise men were not righteous — they were stargazers.
Insight isn't the same as anointing, and accuracy isn't the same as righteousness — the magi could read the stars, but they weren't reading from God's book. Scripture never asks you to test whether someone can see; it commands you to test the spirit behind what they see. Not every voice that speaks with confidence is speaking from heaven — try the spirits, because deception rarely announces itself.
