Saying #189
Make your prayers heart-felt. If it is not, it cannot get to the roof of your room, let alone reaching heaven.
God isn't moved by lips that honor Him while the heart stays far away — He's drawn to a broken and contrite heart. Hannah's prayer barely made a sound, but it reached heaven because it came from real anguish. A cold, formal prayer goes nowhere; a heart-felt one gets past the ceiling.
