Paul boasted in his weaknesses so Christ's power could rest on him — the thorn wasn't a disqualifier, it was the very platform for grace. God will let us see troubles, many and bitter, but He will restore our life again and comfort us once more. Greatness without a testimony of pain feels hollow because it was never designed to stand alone. Don't be ashamed of the valley — it's what makes the mountaintop credible.
